On January 10, a small group of local community members gathered at The Tower Building in downtown Little Rock for a real estate education workshop with a purpose: learning together while supporting the Alzheimer’s Association.
The workshop was intentionally kept small to encourage open conversation, thoughtful questions, and practical discussion. Rather than focusing on hype or sales tactics, the session centered on helping attendees understand different real estate investing paths, how financing fits into those strategies, and how to think through decisions based on personal goals and circumstances.
All ticket proceeds from the event were donated to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s work in research, care, and advocacy across the region.
Education First, Pressure Free
The workshop was co-hosted by Andrew Yu of Paranova Property Buyers, a local real estate investment company and one of the established cash home buyers in Little Rock, alongside mortgage lender Gabriel Womack.
Yu led the discussion on real estate fundamentals, long-term investing concepts, and how different strategies align with different lifestyles. Womack provided an educational overview of financing options commonly used by real estate investors, including Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) loans, explaining when they make sense and what investors should realistically expect.
The focus throughout the morning was clarity rather than complexity. Attendees were encouraged to ask honest questions, share their situations, and think critically about what strategies might or might not fit them.
A Conversation, Not a Seminar
Unlike large seminars, the small-group format allowed for meaningful dialogue. Participants were able to engage directly with the presenters, explore real-world scenarios, and better understand how investing approaches and financing tools work together.
“This event was about education, conversation, and giving back,” said Yu. “We wanted to create a space where people could learn without pressure and support a cause that affects so many families.”
Community and Cause
The Alzheimer’s Association’s mission resonated strongly with attendees, many of whom shared personal connections to the cause. Community-led events like this play an important role in raising awareness and supporting ongoing efforts to improve care and advance research.
Organizers expressed gratitude to everyone who attended, asked questions, and contributed to the fundraiser, noting that education and community engagement are powerful when paired with a meaningful cause.
